This 8' x 6' tapestry is handwoven with silk, gold, wool, and rayon. The artist uses weaving, the oldest art technique, to depict a futuristic event. The tapestry represents Deep Space 1 flying by the comet and asteroid. The nucleus of the comet is bright and dynamic and is woven with golden thread and shiny rayon which reflects a vibrating light. There are three tails depicted. On top is the blue transparent ion tail, and the dust tail is just below it. On the level of the viewer trails the pebbles and particles tail. The texture of the weaving adds a third dimension to the objects, and the perspective of the largest rock gives a feeling that the comet has just passed by the viewer.

This tapestry is exhibited in the Kennedy Space Center Museum.
