Monique
Lehman was weaving a tapestry while watching the recent presidential election.
She was very frustrated that the overseas military votes were not being
counted and expressed her feelings the best way she could by creating a
tapestry. This small tapestry (7"-10") represents a monument of Iwo Jima,
which is a symbol of honor, courage and commitment. When we think of people
in the military serving oversea often we think of the bloody battle of Iwo
Jima. Putting the stamp REJECTED on overseas ballots was like rejecting
that moment of flag rising. |
