Laura Lawrence is new to weaving. She draws inspiration for her tapestries from lifelong training in the classical performing arts, together with working in the environment of abstract art for 20 years. She feels compelled to dive beyond the surface to find the elements of line, color, balance, and movement that underlie all art.

Laura's new tapestry is exhibited in St. Louis at Small Expressions 2001.
